Older homes need careful hands

The houses in North Hill and East Hill have heart pine floors, old framing and plaster you can't buy anymore. When a pipe bursts or a roof gives way, the goal is to save what's there, not rip it out. Our water damage restoration crew dries it in place and tracks the moisture until it's out of the walls and floors. Then our flooring restoration crew cleans and restores what the water touched.

What we handle in Pensacola

When the rain won't stop

Pensacola knows flooding. Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and the April 2014 storm, which dropped more than 20 inches of rain in two days, put water into homes that had never flooded before. Heavy rain still backs up drains and pushes water under doors from Myrtle Grove to Scenic Heights. We pull the water out and dry the house before it turns into a bigger job.

Mold in a humid town

Raised floors, crawl spaces and long, wet summers make Pensacola a hard place to keep mold away. If you smell it or see it, our mold remediation team finds where it's growing, contains it so it doesn't spread through the house, removes it and fixes the moisture feeding it.

After a fire

A kitchen fire in Cordova Park or an electrical fire in an older house downtown leaves smoke in every room it can reach. Our fire and smoke restoration crew secures the house, clears the smoke and soot from walls, ceilings and belongings, and restores it to how it was before.

How a job goes

1. We look at everything

We check the whole property and walk you through what we found and what it will take.

2. We stop the damage

We pull out the water, tarp and board up what a fire opened, or contain the mold so it can't spread.

3. We dry it out and clean it up

Air movers and dehumidifiers dry the walls and floors while we track the moisture, and we clean the furniture and belongings that can be saved.

4. We put it back

Then we restore your home or business to the way it was before.

Insurance claims, handled

We work directly with your insurance company. We document the damage with photos and moisture readings, work with the adjuster, and keep the claim moving, so you can look after your family instead of the paperwork. DRI Gulf Coast is IICRC certified, the industry standard for water, fire and mold restoration.

Questions we hear in Pensacola

You're in Orange Beach. Do you really cover Pensacola?

Yes. Pensacola is part of our regular service area, from downtown and the historic neighborhoods to Warrington.

Can you save the original wood floors in an older house?

Often, yes, when they're dried properly and soon enough. That's exactly why it pays to call before the water sits.

How do you find water inside the walls?

We use moisture meters and thermal cameras to see where the water went, so nothing gets closed up wet.

Will my homeowner's insurance cover water damage?

It depends on the policy and on where the water came from. We work directly with your insurance company and document everything, so the claim has what it needs.
