Mold Inspection

A musty smell that won't go away, a stain that keeps spreading, or a house that sat wet after a storm. We find out whether you have mold, where it's growing and how far it's gone, so you know exactly what you're dealing with.

Finding what you can't see

Mold grows where water sits, behind drywall, under floors, in crawl spaces and in attics. We use moisture meters and thermal cameras to find the wet areas feeding it, so nothing gets closed up and missed. DRI Gulf Coast is IICRC certified, the industry standard for mold work.

When to call for an inspection

A smell that won't go away

That musty, earthy smell usually means mold is growing somewhere you can't see yet.

After a leak or a storm

Water that got into walls, floors or ceilings can start mold within a day or two in Gulf Coast humidity, even after the surface looks dry.

Buying or selling a home

An inspection tells buyers and sellers what's really there, so a moisture problem doesn't stall the closing.

What happens during an inspection

1. We look everywhere it could be

Inside the rooms, under the house, in the attic and around windows, doors and plumbing.

2. We find the moisture

Moisture meters and a thermal camera show where water is getting in and where it's staying.

3. We tell you what we found

Whether there's mold, where it is, how far it has spread and what's causing it.

If we find mold

If we find mold, our mold remediation team contains it so it can't spread, removes it and dries out the water that started it. One call covers the inspection and the fix.

Mold inspection questions

I can already see mold. Do I still need an inspection?

Usually, yes. What shows on the surface is often a small part of what's behind the wall, and the inspection tells us how far it goes before anything is removed.

Is an inspection the same as mold remediation?

No. The inspection finds the mold and what's feeding it. Our mold remediation team is who removes it and fixes the moisture.

Do you inspect homes for a sale?

Yes. We inspect, and if there's a problem we can remove it and document the work for the buyer and seller.

Where do you do mold inspections?

From the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay to Pensacola, and from the beaches north to I-10. See every town on our service area page.
